Women of the Web

Because

  • People need to pay more attention to Women Who Do Things
  • Especially women in STEM fields
  • Because only about 18% of computer science grads each year are female
  • And letting women know that they can get somewhere with computer science brings more women into computer science
  • But women in STEM fields are often overshadowed by men
  • So a lot of people don’t know about all these awesome ladies who made it possible for us to have things like tumblr
Also,
  • Reading this is a better option than doing homework
  • Likes/reblogs might help me get a better grade
  • I spent all weekend doing this so I really want people to see it
